Furness Building Society Head Office – Full Internal Re-decoration
In January 2012 GR Painters & Decorators secured the contract to fully redecorate the internal office areas of Furness Building Society based in Barrow in Furness. The contract duration of 13 weeks ran smoothly with a conbination of night shifts, late evenings and normal working hours, this helped to minimise disruption to a 100 plus staffed head office.
As you can see below the standard of work achived was very high with particular attention paid to the “Board Room” and the “Chief Executives” areas, though the same standard of work with particular attention to detail was maintained by regular quality control checks throughout the duration of the contract and weekly client meetings also helped to maintain a good working relationship.
GRltd also supplied joiners and plasterers for other work to new stud partitions in various areas of the building. All in all, a great place to work with the contract completed on time with a satisfied and very happy client.

We are currently part-way through a project to decorate the interior of our head office building on Duke Street, Barrow in Furness. This is a large project with the building spreading 3 floors, and the offices housing over 100 staff.
The decorating work is being undertaken by GR Painters & Decorators who we selected from a number of companies that originally quoted for the job. The project commenced on the 30th of January 2012 and is expected to last approximately 12 weeks. The project is currently on schedule.
We have developed a good working relationship with Gary and his team. Feedback from our colleagues show that the decorating team have been polite and accomodating in any communications with our staff. Gary and his team have worked with us to try and minimise the disruption to staff whilst work is in progress. This will involve some night- shift working during the project.
Gary is always quick to ensure the safety and wellbeing of his team, and it is clear that in turn his team respect him and are willing to work hard for him.
Gary and his team have worked extremely hard on this project, and we have been pleased with the standard of work so far, with the board and our executive team being particularly impressed with the newly decorated Board room and training rooms.
Many staff have commented that the completed areas are a great improvement to their working environment, and we shall look forward to the finished result.
